They required line breaks to publish, stating that while they 'get' 
what I was doing and found it 'brilliant,' 
they thought people would have a hard time reading, or 'getting' it, 
so I provided the line breaks. I found the entire exercise somewhat 
patronizing, and giving little credit for ability to think to other 
humans who engage with word-art, but then again, in a world of LOLs, a 
world suffering from a dire lack of critical, imaginative thinking, a 
world rife with instant everything, they could be right...  
I do think the line breaks detract from the entire point of it, 
but this is the version that was eventually accepted for publication and 
I am happy about that. I am quite happy that they ended up using one of 
my photos as well... 

Ideas tumble

Ideas tumble over thoughts tumble over fears tumble over feelings tumble 
over the stones 
in the creek that leads to the core smoothing ever smoothing the rough 
edges 

making space in-between 

for the cool cool water that transforms difference to curiosity 
to understanding
the cool cool water that transforms fear born of not knowing to empathy 
the cool cool water that transforms hatred to Love 
for we are but human
all of us.
